1. Who we are and what this policy covers

This Privacy Policy explains how Timo Marketing, operating Groblersdal Info (groblersdalinfo.co.za), collects, uses, stores, and protects personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).

When you submit a business listing or contact us, we may collect:

• Your name and business name
• Phone number and WhatsApp number
• Email address
• Physical business address and GPS coordinates
• Business logo, photos, and marketing content you supply
• Payment-related correspondence (we do not store card/payment details directly — payment is handled via invoice/manual arrangement)

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

3. Why we collect it

We process this information solely to:

• Create and display your business listing on the directory
• Contact you regarding your submission, payment, and account status
• Deliver the services included in your selected subscription tier (e.g. posting weekly specials, sharing content to Facebook/WhatsApp)
• Improve and maintain the directory

We do not sell or rent personal information to third parties. We do not use submitted business information for any purpose beyond operating and promoting the Groblersdal Info directory.

4. How we store your information

Information submitted through our signup form is stored securely and reviewed manually before any listing is published. Business data displayed on the live directory is stored in our secure database, which uses industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections and access controls.

5. Your rights under POPIA

You have the right to:

• Confirm what personal information we hold about you
• Request access to that information
• Request correction of inaccurate or outdated information
• Request deletion of your information (subject to any legal retention requirements)
• Withdraw consent to processing at any time
• Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa if you believe your information has been mishandled

6. Marketing communications

If you have subscribed to a tier that includes social media promotion, you consent to your business content being shared on our Facebook page and affiliated WhatsApp groups as part of that service. You may withdraw this consent at any time by contacting us, which may result in a downgrade of your subscription tier to one that does not include this feature.

7. Data retention

We retain business listing information for as long as your subscription is active, plus a reasonable period afterward for record-keeping purposes. You may request earlier deletion at any time.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected with an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
